Japanese OKTOBERFEST
1–31 October 2026
A month of German-style beers brewed by Japanese breweries, with sausage and pretzels to go with them. The festival beers carry an OKTOBERFEST mark in TODAY'S ON TAP.
Weekdays 17:00–23:00 · Saturdays 15:00–21:00 · normally closed Sundays and public holidays
Oct 1–31 Japanese OKTOBERFEST is onOur Philosophy
A craft beer stand pouring Japanese craft beer from up to ten taps, six on the main beer server and four on a portable one, all draught and chosen from breweries the length of the country. A few streets away from the noise of Shibuya: take the counter or the bench seat and drink at your own pace, or fill the high table with friends and talk over a glass. There is more than beer here too, including hard-to-find Japanese gin and whisky.
Okinawa in summer, Hokkaido in winter. We pour the craft beer that belongs to the season and cook the food of the region it comes from, so what arrives at your table is a pairing you can only have right now.
Kanpai Stand SHIBUYA speaks Japanese, English and Spanish, so use whichever comes easiest. Freddy, our manager, is Cicerone-certified, came to us from BrewDog, and is genuinely easy to talk to. He is waiting for you.
Japanese pro baseball and J.League are on regularly. Places where you can watch sport and drink good craft beer are rarer than they ought to be. The schedule is in the calendar below. If there is a match you want to see, ask us and we can usually arrange it, even on the day.

Japanese craft gin and whisky, including bottles from small producers. The food follows the season and the region the beer comes from — Okinawan dishes in summer, Hokkaido in winter.
Yes. There is a fee of ¥550–¥770 per person, depending on the size of the group.
Free fast Wi-Fi, yes, and power sockets too, though seats and sockets are both limited. Working over a quiet beer is entirely fine. There are no private rooms, but a table works well for a meeting.
No — the whole bar is non-smoking.
Neither. Come in for a single glass if that is all you want.
